The next Mojo Rising reunion will take place at The Library in Attercliffe on Friday, 4 December, with Greg Heap once again supplying the soul, Motown, R&B and 60s sounds that helped make King Mojo famous.
It follows two successful reunions held as part of the project, with the most recent event selling out.
This time there will be an added attraction, as visitors will get the first public chance to see the brand new King Mojo mural created by Sheffield artist Angie Hardwick, with help from former Mojo artist Paul Norton and input from former Mojo-goers and members of the wider community.
We’re now a year into the King Mojo heritage project and the response has been even better than we hoped.
Scores of people have already got involved by attending events, volunteering, sharing memories, taking part in interviews, digging out old photographs and helping shape the new artwork.
As project manager, it’s particularly satisfying to see the project develop in exactly the way we hoped it would when the funding was first secured.
The December reunion will run from 7pm until 11pm.
